Are you wanting to learn Macrame?
The Lacey pattern is a great beginner project whether you are a total newbie or looking to get back into the swing of things after a long time away from the knots.
Currently, the Lacey pattern is the design I teach in my Macrame workshops. It has been designed to be easy to follow incorporating common knots so you can learn the basics to confidently continue your Macrame journey
The pattern is avilable for immediate download and includes full written instructions with accompanying images as well as a knot guide and a run down of items and materials required, lengths of cords as well as tips and tricks.
This is a instructional pattern only. Supplies are not included, please see the DIY Kit option for pattern and supplies.
What you will need to complete your project
- 62.5 meters of 5 mm cotton string in the colour of your choice - See Luxe and Silk Touch Cotton range for colour selection
- Hanger - bamboo or dowel approx 370mm in length and 10mm in width
- S hooks
- Clothes rack or similar to hang your work from
The finished piece measures approx 370mm wide and 550mm long.
Cotton rope supplies are avaialble in store with a wide selection of colours to choose from. This pattern could also be completed with rope if you would prefer but please note that rope does not fray and comb out as easily as string for fringing.
